I'm so easily annoyed at the people around me. Of course, now I'm no longer referring to you, I'm referring to Gordon. Yesterday, as I was trying to help him...telling him that he should devote more time studying because of the upcoming midterms, he said something so ridiculous.<br /><br />"You know what's weird, the fact that I spent so little effort in school and how you worked a lot harder, and yet we both are here in UCLA."<br /><br />Asshole. Gordon has not known me for that long, and he's already started to insult my intelligence and overestimating his potential. I told him that he should start allocating more time studying before he faces the consequences. He is not stressed at all. He thinks he'll get through it all. He totally does not realize that ACLC and UCLA are two completely different playing fields. And here I am, trying to tell him that it's not the same, and he insults me like that.<br /><br />He is the most cocky shit ever. He's so overconfident and I can't wait until he gets slapped in the face by reality. Of course, I earnestly hope he does well in school. But I think it takes something really disappointing to make him snap out of his cockiness. When he said that to me, I looked at him and said, "Please don't insult me. It's late Gordon, I think you should go." I couldn't even talk to him anymore. But I later IMed him and said: You shouldn't pride yourself in laziness, nor mistake mediocrity as talent; overconfidence will eventually meet reality.<br /><br />Who does he think he is? He thinks that the result of his little effort is equivalent to diligence on my part. Does he seriously think that our high school experience is identical? Does he seriously think that although everyone here at UCLA deserves to be here, there are those that deserve this opportunity more than others? How dare he insult my intelligence.
